Mississippi Choctaw’s High-Tech Industry Expands with the Addition of Choctaw Ikhana
(Choctaw, Mississippi)- Choctaw Ikhana was formed in June 2008 as part of a diversification plan designed to better utilize the growing technological resources and expertise of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. The company now provides laboratory services to a variety of aerospace and defense customers, including Kelly Aviation Center in San Antonio, Texas.

We look forward to great things from Choctaw Ikhana such as employment opportunities for our youth to learn and grow and lead the next generation with strong minds and experience,” said Beasley Denson, Tribal Miko, Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
Mr. James M. Robinson, a member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, serves as president of Choctaw Ikhana. In that capacity, he oversees all aspects of the company including corporate direction, business development and operations. Prior to joining Choctaw Ikhana, Robinson supported the growth of Applied Geo Technologies, Inc., as a Contracts Administrator and Business Analyst. Throughout his collegiate career, James served NASA at John C. Stennis Space Center through the Develop Program, a NASA Science Mission Directorate Applied Sciences Program that fosters human capital development to extend NASA science research to local communities.

We hope that our efforts will showcase the talent of our youth as we strive to inspire them to pursue careers in science and technology,” said James Robinson, president, Choctaw Ikhana.
